7.1. Create Proposal

To create a proposal in Nexved CRM, follow these steps:

  1. Start a New Proposal:

    • Click on Create Proposal located at the top left of the screen.

  2. Choose Related Lead or Customer:

    • You can create a proposal for either a Lead or a Customer.

    • Select Related to Lead or Customer.

    • Choose the specific Lead or Customer from the dropdown list. The relevant information will be auto-filled on the right side, but you can adjust the details as needed.

  3. Proposal Settings:

    • Status: By default, the proposal status will be set to Draft. Proposals in the Draft status are not visible to customers.

    • Open Till: This is the date until which the proposal will remain open. You can set this by going to SetupSettingsFinanceProposals to configure the default "Proposal due after" date, which will auto-populate this field.

    • Currency: When creating a proposal for a Lead, you can select any currency. For a Customer, the system will use either the base currency or the customer’s selected currency.

    • Allow Comments: If this option is unchecked, the user will not be able to leave comments on the proposal (e.g., negotiate on pricing).

  4. Save the Proposal:

    • Once the initial details are filled in, click Save to add proposal content.

Add Proposal Content:

  1. Adding Content:

    • After saving, you will be redirected to the preview area where you can add detailed content to the proposal.

  2. Finalizing the Proposal:

    • When you finish adding content, click the green button Save Proposal at the top left of the editor to save your changes.

  3. Using Merge Fields:

    • To streamline the process for future proposals, you can use Merge Fields. Click on the Available Merge Fields link to view and use dynamic placeholders.

    • If you want to create a similar proposal later, you can Copy an existing proposal:

      • Click More and select Copy.

This process allows you to efficiently create, manage, and customize proposals, ensuring consistency while also making it easy to duplicate and reuse content.
